My name is Bob Rice and you are visiting the internet version of my program "Crossroads" which air's weekly at KYRS-LP, Spokane, WA. USA. This is my story ....

I became involved with "Thin Air Community Radio" KYRS-LP, Spokane, WA. at it's inception back in late December of 2003. Being a musical and visual artist, I was compelled to become involved with KYRS with the hope of becoming a musical link and resource to my community. I can still remember the telephone call that I received from the station manager back in late October of 2003 saying, "Bob, turn on your radio. We are finally up and on!" He was playing a Beatle's song, "She Love's You". I smiled broadly and began dancing around my studio. Shortly thereafter, "Crossroads" was approved and fast tracked to become one of the first "Live" weekly broadcasts on KYRS. Fast forwarding to the present finds me still climbing up those three flights of stairs every Sunday afternoon to air the best 2 hrs. of roots, rock, blues, bluegrass, folk, country, jazz, fusion and progressive music that you will find anywhere on the dial or the internet. My weekly radio program features rarely heard independent artist's, major artist's and local artists supported by telephone interviews as well as "live" in-studio performances. Please contact me directly at crossroads@kyrs.org or through this web site to arrange an interview, "live" guest appearance or for information on how you can send me your music to include in up coming "Crossroads" broadcasts!

My official involvement with audiocandy began July of 2009 when I ran into "Candy Kid" and company CEO Bill Atkins at a local Spokane grocerey store. Bill and I go back over ten years ... he built my first web site when I owned and operated a professional photography business. I approached him as a possible resource for building a private internet based version of my weekly terrestrial "Crossroads" broadcast. Long story short ... I had been aware of audiocandy but only as a genre based internet radio broadcast entity. I had no clue that he and Ron Sinnott, the other "Candy Kid" and President of the company .... he and I go back nearly 35 years, had developed audiocandy to the depth of providing not only private broadcasting but also was growing a very sizeable video library and incorporating television and movie capablilities into their service's as well. After working with them directly on creating my private broadcast here at audiocandy ... I was hooked. In fact I'm now a "Candy Kid" too. Since then we have ramped up our services and initiated an aggressive drive to bring more high quaility artist's and their music into the audiocandy family. Our numbers are continually improving which shows that quaility content does attract more listeners and viewers. Please feel free to contact me with any of your marketing needs whether you are an artist or a business.

I look forward to adding you as an important and interactive member of the "Crossroads Radio" at KYRS and audiocandy listening community!
